Regular Meeting
The regular weekly meeting of the club holds on Thursdays at 6.30 pm. There is a pre-meeting fellowship, the “Happy Hour” at 6 pm. During this time, Rotarians establish camaraderie amongst themselves developing acquittances and having fun.
The club meets in person but other variants, like virtual meetings may be adopted where necessary and members are duly informed in advance in the group’s WhatsApp platform.
Board Meeting
The Board of the sponsor club, Rotary Club of Agbara is the governing body that oversees this satellite club.
Annual General Meeting
Annual General Meeting, AGM is as determined by the sponsor club and it takes place by the second week of every December. At the AGM officers of the club are elected for the incoming Rotary year.
Club Assembly
The club also holds an assembly of members to discuss matters that affect the club’s well-being. Every member is expected to attend this assembly to contribute towards the development of the club.
Duration of Meetings
The duration of the weekly meeting is one hour. Other meetings have their duration determined by the time it takes to discuss and conclude matters relevant to the meeting agenda.
Meeting Agenda
The agenda of the meeting is published on the club’s WhatsApp platform at least 24 hours to the time of the meeting.
Pre-Meeting Fellowship
An “Happy Hour” for a duration of 30 minutes at 6 pm heralds the fellowship for that day. It is fun for the members to acquaint themselves to strengthen friendships and share in camaraderie. Some light entertainment is provided by the club or a volunteer sponsor. During this time, Rotarians establish camaraderie amongst themselves developing acquittances and having fun.
Notice of Change Meeting Time & Venue
Due notice of any change in time, venue or cancellation of the regular meeting is given to all members of the club through a publication in the WhatsApp group platform at least 24 hours before meeting day. Regular meetings of the club do not hold on globally recognised or government declared public holidays.
