Rotary Satellite Club of Agbara OPIC Estate was formed in June 2026 and admitted to Rotary International by 23rd June 2026.

It started with 10 members of Rotary Club of Agbara who are located around OPIC Estate and who had difficulty accessing the sponsor club in the evenings for fellowship at the meeting place.

The formation of this Satellite Club was also a drive to recruit other persons willing to join Rotary from this axis but face similar challenges. Moreover, OPIC Estate comprising residential and industrial segments holds a potential for new Rotarians.

By this, the 2025-2026, Unite for Good President, Rtn Fati, Boluwaji Odunayo, constituted a committee lead by Rtn Fred Egbamuno and Rtn Omokaro, to workout a plan to establish the Satellite Club.

The plan was drawn and presented to the general house in the first semi-annual of the Rotary year by Rtn Engr Emmanuel Omokaro, with a proviso to make it functional by February 2026. This gestation period, however, took a little longer and was eventually actualised in June. By June 23rd, 2026, the Satellite Club was eventually admitted to Rotary International.

The sponsor Club, Rotary Club of Agbara, is now 41 years old and has grown to be a very strong club in the district. The club has been doing good in her community and environs over the years, touching lives positively.
Currently, it is in District 9111, a new district created from District 9110 in July 2024.

The club has executed numerous water projects and made donations of health care support facilities to maternity and health centres in Agbara, Idioke, Ijankin, and Igbesa over the years and in recent times. RC Agbara has renovated secondary and primary schools in Agbara and it’s environs including Idoye and Igere. They are notable projects that uplift the facilities.

The club does this every year looking at areas of concern that require attention and use funds raised through members’ contributions and donations from well-meaning friends of Rotary. Notable industries like Anochemicals, Strong Pack Nig Plc have all contributed immensely to support our cause.

We continue to do this to uplift our immediate communities and solicit the support of people with the heart for giving to join us in this drive.
